Industrial maintenance

Industrial maintenance: mechanical, electrical and automation

Mechanical, electrical and automation maintenance for existing installations and after energy or PLC/SCADA projects. The contract defines covered equipment, interventions and support terms.

Maintenance & partner workshops

Mechanical work, electrical systems and technical follow-up.

A drive fault, a worn part or a poorly adjusted utility cannot always be resolved in a PLC. We coordinate the response with the relevant trades and your production constraints.

Define my maintenance scope

How we size a contract

Contract support matched to your needs

Handover draws on available drawings, versions, backups, test results and open items. The proposal and contract define covered equipment, tasks, parts and responsibilities.

We review your equipment, its criticality and your internal resources. The contract defines tasks, scheduling, response terms, backups and required documentation.

  • Equipment and criticality inventory
  • Schedule of agreed interventions
  • PLC/HMI backups and documentation within scope
  • Remote maintenance where authorised secure access is available
  • Intervention reports and follow-up of outstanding items
  • Review of obsolescence and required parts

Mechanical equipment

Diagnostics, parts and mechanical support agreed with SwissMecanyx. Workshop work defined in the quote.

Electrical systems

Electrical diagnostics, sensors, actuators and drives according to the equipment and required authorisations.

Automation PLC/HMI/SCADA

Program diagnostics, backups, documentation and agreed modifications. Authorised secure remote access.

Written terms, not a general promise

The contract states the scope, applicable hours, priority and start of response. Repair time also depends on parts, access and third-party suppliers.

What a maintenance contract covers

Within the agreed scope

  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting, remote or on site
  • Small PLC, HMI or SCADA changes
  • Backups and technical documentation
  • Support for your maintenance teams
  • Analysis of recurring faults

Outside the contract, quoted separately

  • A new machine or new process
  • Major retrofit or full PLC/SCADA migration
  • Substantial software development
  • Spare parts, machining and workshop work outside the agreed contract

These needs get a dedicated proposal, discussed with you before anything starts.

Frequently asked questions about the maintenance contract

Do you also cover mechanical and electrical maintenance?

Yes, according to the equipment and agreed scope. SwissMecanyx supplies the parts and mechanical support defined in the proposal. Vanguard remains your contractor for that scope. Specialist work and required authorisations are specified before intervention.

How is the maintenance contract defined?

We review your equipment, its criticality and your internal resources. The contract defines tasks, scheduling, response terms, backups and required documentation.

Can you maintain the installation after an energy or automation project?

Yes. Follow-up can cover control, PLCs, supervision, backups and agreed equipment. The contract defines visits, checks and energy monitoring.

Does a response time guarantee restoration of service?

No. The start of response and repair duration are separate. Parts, access, safety and third-party suppliers can affect restoration of service.

How are hours and additional interventions handled?

Volume, time accounting, any rollover and additional interventions are defined in the contract. Work outside that scope requires agreement before it starts.

Can a small site subscribe to a maintenance contract?

Each request is reviewed against the equipment, internal skills and actual needs. The scope is proposed after that assessment.
