From measurement to commissioning and follow-up

We define the need, measurements and changes to carry out. Each stage specifies deliverables, responsibilities and required checks.

The steps

We measure first

We review meter, PLC and historical data, then define missing measurements. The observation period depends on production cycles and available data.

Prioritise and carry out actions

Schedules, settings, control, maintenance and equipment are reviewed together. Costs, operating constraints and checks are defined before agreed actions start.

Commission and follow up

We integrate agreed changes, test operation and hand over documentation. Consumption is compared against a documented baseline and operating conditions.

Measure according to the installation and access

We review existing data before adding sensors. Installation methods, access and any shutdowns are defined with your teams.

  • Existing data

    review accessible meters, PLCs, drives, histories and Modbus or OPC UA interfaces.

  • Electrical

    define measurement points and sensor types. Installation depends on access, authorisations and safety conditions.

  • Liquid fluids

    assess clamp-on ultrasonic flow measurement according to the fluid, pipe and installation conditions.

  • Compressed air

    compare compressor electricity use, cycles and periods without production to guide diagnostics.

  • Steam and high pressure

    select a method suited to the risks. Any tapping requires assessment and a planned intervention.

Who does what

  • Tai Van leads engineering, integration and testing within Vanguard’s scope. Site teams, OEMs and specialist partners are coordinated according to the mandate. The proposal specifies deliverables, the skills to mobilise, scheduling and responsibilities.
  • Specialist work packages, partners and responsibilities are identified in the proposal. Decisions belonging to the operator or OEM remain defined with them.

From scoping to acceptance

  • We review the need and available documents. Measurements and diagnostics complete the specification where needed.
  • The proposal defines work packages, skills to mobilise, interfaces, scheduling and intervention conditions.
  • After agreement, we deliver the agreed scope and coordinate interfaces, tests and document handover.
  • Acceptance retains reservations and their owners. Energy follow-up and maintenance handover can extend the project under the agreed contract.
